It was a day of show of the commitment, strength and sacrifice of Defence Civilian Employees. They boycotted their food whole day and performed their National Duty to caution the Government of India that they will not tolerate the arbitrary decision taken by them against the Defence Industry and its Employees. The Food boycott was a total success in all the Defence Establishments. In many Defence Units during the Lunch Break Employees came out of their Section and stood in front of their Section with Placards , Black Badge etc. to register their Food Boycott in support of their demands. We have also come to know that in some units Trade Apprentices and contract workers have also participated in the Hunger Strike. Procurement of Training Solution for P8I Aircraft

      P8I Long Range Maritime Reconnaissance Anti Submarine Warfare (LRMRASW) aircraft were inducted into the Indian Navy commencing 2013. Towards training of the P8I pilots, observers, ordnance and technical personnel, a contract has been signed with M/s Boeing, USA for procurement of Training Simulator for P8I aircraft, along with construction of a 60,000 sq ft civil facility (Training, Support and Data Handling Centre) and an on-site Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract for a period of 10 years.

Raksha Mantri Presides over India’s Display of Naval Might

Raksha Mantri (RM) Smt Nirmala Sitharaman presided over India's show of Naval might on 08 and 09 January 2018. More than ten warships from the Indian Navy including the aircraft carrier, INS Vikramaditya, three submarines and various naval aircraft participated in operational manoeuvres conducted off the western coast of India.

Family Pension to Divorced Daughters

There is no such proposal. However, vide Ministry of Defence letter dated 17.11.2017, divorced daughter is now eligible for ordinary family pension for life subject to fulfilment of the following conditions:-

When widow / widower of Defence personnel and eligible children below 25 years of age have ceased to be eligible to receive family pension and there is no disabled child to receive family pension.

Divorced daughter was dependent on defence personnel / pensioner or his / her spouse i.e. if decree of divorce had been issued by the competent court during life time of at least one of the parents or even the divorce proceedings had been filed in a competent court during the life time of the personnel / pensioner or his / her spouse but the divorce took place after their death.

केंद्र की मोदी सरकार ने भ्रष्टाचार मुक्त प्रशासन की दिशा में कवायद करते हुए भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (IAS) के तमाम अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिया है कि वे अगले महीने तक अपनी अचल संपत्तियों का ब्योरा सार्वजनिक कर दें। सरकार ने चेतावनी दी है कि ऐसा न करने वाले आईएएस अफसरों की प्रोन्नति तथा विदेशों में तैनाती को विजिलेंस से मंजूरी नहीं मिलेगी। दरअसल, ये अधिकारी सरकार के बार-बार के निर्देशों के बावजूद अपनी संपत्ति का ब्योरा सामने लाने में नाकाम रहे हैं।
